ARE PRAMS PERMITTED?

Yes, prams are permitted into the Festival Site and the Campgrounds. 

Due to the Festival’s sound amplification, we recommend that all small children attending the Festival wear appropriate ear protection.

WHAT CAN OR CAN’T BE BROUGHT INTO THE FESTIVAL?

Prohibited Items include but are not limited to:

  • Alcohol - any alcohol found at the Festival Site or the Campground will be confiscated and the offending patron(s) ejected from the Festival Site / Campground for the remainder of the Festival.
  • Animals (excluding service or assistance animals such as guide dogs).
  • Audio or video recording devices (including GoPro and similar).
  • Balloons, frisbees, projectiles, sticks, poles, bats, clubs, etc.
  • Beanbags, blow-up chairs or lounges or couches.
  • Clothing, jewellery or accessory displaying the name of any motorcycle-related or similar organisations or any “declared criminal organisation” within the meaning of the Criminal Code (Criminal Organisations) Regulation 2013.
  • Clothing, costume or personal effects that may impede the view of those around or behind you.
  • Crates (bread or milk crates).
  • Confetti or shredded paper.
  • Drones or any other remote control devices.
  • Eskies, Drink coolers or ice-boxes which are large and bulky (Festival Site only).
  • Fires and open flames.
  • Flammable liquids and containers (eg jerry cans) with flammable liquids will be confiscated. Empty jerry cans are permitted.
  • Flares, fireworks, sparklers, explosives or any fire twirling equipment.
  • Glass (jars, bottles, containers, mirrors and perfumes).
  • Hydration packs and reservoirs (eg Camelbaks) and sealable pouches (yoghurt, baby food pouches) * exceptions for families with children under 14 years of age (Festival Site only).
  • Illegal or illicit substances.
  • Kites or sky lanterns.
  • Nitrous oxide bulbs and canisters.
  • Noise-making devices such as air horns, horns, bells, bullhorns, thunder sticks, whistles or musical instruments.
  • Lasers, laser pointers or pens.
  • Masks (with the exception of medical masks or religious face coverings).
  • Political signage.
  • Pools (inflatable pools, plunge pools, spa pools, etc).
  • Professional photography equipment (eg telephoto lenses; any lens over 5cm; any detachable lens; stands, monopods, tripods, attachment sticks (selfie sticks) or other commercial equipment or anything deemed by Festival staff to be professional photography equipment).
  • Sharpies, markers, paint cans or paint pens.
  • Skateboards, scooters, wagons, carts, rollerblades, roller skates, bicycles, electric bikes, electric scooters, quad-bikes, segways, hoverboards, self-balancing scooters or any personal motorised transportation.
  • Sound systems (Festival Site only).
  • Studded items (eg belts, wristbands, etc).
  • Tables, tents, sun shelters (Festival Site only).
  • Toy guns, water guns or slingshots.
  • Two-way walkie talkies or radios (Festival Site only).
  • Umbrellas (Festival Site only).
  • Unauthorised solicitation and materials including handbills, flyers, stickers, beach balls, give-aways, samples, or other promotional items.
  • Weapons of any kind including tasers, mace sprays or explosives of any kind (including potential missiles / projectiles).
  • Whips.
  • Any other item deemed by Festival personnel (in their discretion) to be, or potentially be, a safety hazard or annoyance to participants or guests, dangerous or offensive.

Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry to any persons.  

Any persons found to be in possession of Prohibited Items will have those Prohibited Items confiscated and they will not be returned.  

Any persons found to be in possession of illegal substances or participating in illegal activities will be removed from Festival Site / Campground and may be referred to the police.

IS THE FESTIVAL LICENSED?

Yes, the Festival is fully licensed – please do not bring alcohol with you as it will only be confiscated and will not be returned, and the offending patron (s) may be ejected from the Festival Site / Campgrounds for the remainder of the Festival. Only alcohol purchased from the bars at the Festival may be consumed at the Festival Site. If you wish to consume alcohol, you must have a valid proof of age photo ID. You must be of legal age (18) years) to purchase and consume alcohol on the Festival Site. If you are found to be supplying or buying alcohol for a Minor you will be evicted from the Festival / Campgrounds and may be referred to Police.

DO UNDER 18’s NEED A TICKET?

CMC Rocks QLD 2024 is an all ages event.  However, all children aged under 18 years of age (Minors) must be accompanied at all times in the Campground and Festival Site by a responsible adult, parent or guardian.

Tickets for Minors can only be purchased with an Adult (18+) Ticket. There are two (2) ticket categories for Minors: 

(a) Junior Ticket 4 Years – 14 Years: children who are 4 years and over (as at 15 March 2024) are to buy a Junior Full Festival Ticket, or a Junior Full Festival & Camping Ticket (as required).  

(b) Youth Ticket 15 Years – 17 Years:  persons 15 years and over but under 18 years of age (as at 15 March 2024) are to buy a Youth Full Festival Ticket, or a Youth Full Festival & Camping Ticket (as required).

Children aged 3 Years and Under: Children aged 3 years and under (as at 15 March 2024) are admitted free of charge and do not require a ticket to gain entry to the Festival Site, Campgrounds or Camp Site.  

You will be required to present proof of age for all minors. A copy of a birth certificate is an acceptable proof of age.  

All Adults (18+) must have valid proof of age photo ID to purchase or consume alcohol. Digital licenses are accepted as a form of ID. You will need to open the app and login in to show security. Screenshots will not be accepted.

CAN I BRING A CAMERA?

You can bring a personal digital camera. SLR cameras are okay. Professional photography equipment (e.g. telephoto lenses; any lenses over 20cm; any detachable lens) is not okay and will not be allowed at the Festival without Promoter-issued media accreditation. Festival staff will determine at their discretion whether something is professional photography equipment so if you’re not sure, then we suggest you leave it at home. Photos of artists and/or the Festival are permitted only on the basis that:

  1. Images are only used for private and personal use
  2. Images cannot be made available for sale / for charity and/or public display
CAN I BRING A CHAIR?

Patrons will be able to bring their own chairs into the Festival Site.

No chairs allowed in the Chair Exclusion Zone in front of the Stampede and Rebel stages.

Standard camping chairs are otherwise allowed behind the Chair Exclusion Zone.

No special considerations or exceptions will be made.

Festival staff will determine in their discretion whether a chair is suitable or if it needs to be moved.

 

WHAT TO BRING

A standard camping chair that is no higher than 150cm and no wider than 190cm.

 

WHAT NOT TO BRING

- Banana / sun lounge or other lie-flat chairs

- Deck chairs

- Beanbags

- Blow-up chairs and lounges or other inflatables

Staff and Security will use these guidelines to determine whether a chair is appropriate for the Festival or if it needs to be packed away.

 

CHAIRS LEFT ON THE FESTIVAL SITE OVERNIGHT

If a chair is left on the Festival Site overnight, it will be removed by Festival staff. 

Removed chairs will be taken to Lost & Found located at the Entry Gate Marquee. 

The Festival does not take any responsibility for chairs taken to Lost & Found.  

Any chairs which remain uncollected from Lost & Found or the Festival Site will begiven to charity.

ARE THERE CLOAKROOM/LOCKER FACILITIES?

Yes. There will be key-operated lockers available for you to rent for the duration of the Festival. You’ll be able to store small backpacks, merch, coats and other items you don’t want to cart around the Festival. Click here to prebook your locker.

WILL MY BAGS BE SEARCHED?

It is a Condition of Entry to the Festival Site and Campgrounds that a search of your possessions and / or vehicles be required at the time of entry to the Festival Site and Campgrounds. If you do not consent to such searches, you may be denied entry to the Festival Site and Campgrounds without refund. 

Any Prohibited items will be confiscated and will not be returned.

WILL THERE BE FIRST AID AT THE FESTIVAL?

Yes, there will be a First Aid area – refer to the Festival Map found here.

In the event of an emergency, please make your way to one of the emergency exits and follow directions from Festival Security and Team.

CAN I BRING MY ESKY WITH FOOD OR DRINKS INTO THE FESTIVAL SITE?

Willowbank Raceway and its outdoor concert area is a fully catered and licensed venue. 

STRICTLY NO BYO FOOD OR BEVERAGE (including water) is to be brought into the Festival Site.

Free drinking water will be available at the water station. 

You can bring in unsealed EMPTY plastic or metal water bottles or plastic or foam cups. 

Food is allowed into the Campgrounds but no alcohol is permitted to be brought into either the Campgrounds or the Festival Site.

WHAT SORT OF SHOES DO YOU RECOMMEND I WEAR? CAN I WEAR STEEL CAPPED BOOTS?

The Festival Site is grass and bitumen/asphalt underfoot so we recommend you wear comfortable, flat shoes. You can wear steel capped boots. 

We strongly recommend you bring suitable shoes or boots for wet weather conditions. 

WILL PASS-OUTS BE ALLOWED?

Pass-Outs for Campers:

You may enter and exit the Festival Site and Campgrounds by shuttle bus during Gate Opening Times provided you keep your Wristband on at all times to gain entry back into the Festival Site / Campgrounds. You are only permitted to go by Shuttle Bus – all cars parked onsite must stay in place until the Approved Departure Times. 

Pass-Outs for Festival Patrons:

Pass-outs will only be available in extenuating circumstances.
